A New Chapter Begins

Important Sunday Service Updates During Building Work

Gavin Rodgers | Wed 2nd Jul 2025
We did it, Jubilee!  After months of praying, seeking God, dreaming together, and generous giving, we are thrilled to share that we’ve reached our goal and are now ready to begin the building work on the Jubilee Centre! We stand in awe of God’s provision and your incredible faithfulness. This is not just a practical milestone—it’s a spiritual one too. We believe this development is part of God’s unfolding plan to bless Teesside through His Church, and we are filled with faith for the future. (Let’s face it, we are also ready to be warm on Sunday mornings too, right?!)

As the work begins, we wanted to take a moment to share how our Sunday gatherings will look during this exciting season of transition.

A Temporary Change, a Timeless Purpose
As you can imagine, being unable to use our main church hall presents a few challenges. After prayerfully exploring many options, we’ve settled on what we believe is the best plan to keep us united in worship and fellowship while the building work is underway.

From Sunday 7th September through to our Christmas Service on Sunday 14th December, we will be holding two smaller Sunday services each week in the Tea & Coffee Hall.

The service times will be:
9:30 AM
11:30 AM

Each service will include the same worship and teaching. The only difference is that Children’s Work (ages 0–18) will be offered during the 11:30 AM service only.

Choosing a Service & Staying Connected
We would ask you to prayerfully consider which time might suit you or your household best. Ideally, we’re aiming for a fairly even split so we can accommodate everyone comfortably. We will carry out a survey over the summer to find out which time everyone is considering going to. After that we might need to ask a few of you to go to the other service so that there is a fairly even number.

Between the two services, we’ll all come together for a joint tea and coffee time—a chance to connect, encourage one another, and stay knitted together as one family even if we attend different services. Please note that we won’t be serving refreshments at the start of the 9:30 AM or the end of the 11:30 AM service.

Serving with Unity and Grace
Our Sunday serving teams will be staying on throughout both services, helping us maintain continuity and a sense of unity across the morning. This is a big ask, and we are deeply grateful for everyone giving their time and energy in this way.

We know this arrangement isn’t perfect. But as always, we trust in God’s grace to help us navigate this season with joy, patience, and unity. Let’s choose to see this as an opportunity—not just a disruption. A chance to grow closer to one another, deepen our walk with Jesus, and remain flexible and faith-filled as we look ahead to what God is building—not just in our facilities, but in our hearts.

We’ll continue to share updates and details as we move through the summer. In the meantime, thank you for your continued love, service, and faith. We are truly excited for all God has in store.

Let’s keep building—together.
